Reviews
After hearing rave reviews about "Khatta Meetha," I finally had the opportunity to dine there, and I must say, it lived up to its reputation! The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with friendly staff that made me feel right at home.
As a person who cherishes the flavors of Pakistan, I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the food at Khatta Meetha. Each dish brought back fond memories of my time in Pakistan, as the flavors were spot on and reminded me of home. The menu boasted a wide range of dishes, and the chef's expertise was evident in every bite.
The standout dish for me was the aromatic chicken briyani, a rich and spicy dish that had me savoring every mouthful. It was evident that the chefs at Khatta Meetha take pride in their craft, as the attention to detail in the preparation was evident in every dish.
Overall, "Khatta Meetha" is a gem in Hounslow West for anyone seeking authentic Pakistani cuisine. If you have a love for traditional flavors or simply want to explore the rich tapestry of Pakistan's culinary delights, this is the place to be. I left the restaurant with a contented heart and a satisfied palate, eagerly looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!
Parking - very stressful in the evening we managed to find a spot very quickly and saw a long queue develop after us. Very limited parking available!
Not one of my favourite experiences. I was there around 10am for a breakfast. For what it is, I do admire the place in some ways. Lots of variety, the prices are very reasonable and it is an open well lit place with a decent amount of seating.
However, the food is mostly warm and serve. Noodles, kebabs, rice and currys were all in the display fridge. For people who are looking for a reasonable takeaway, it is fine.
I also want to point out their chicken biryani and nan's were fresh as I saw them being brought out from the kitchen. The biryani was in its own large pot ready for sale.
The place was busy even for a Tuesday morning.
But my experience didn't leave me with a desire to return. I found the service very lacking. I was not given a menu or asked to order, I had to approach the counter myself. I then stood there for another 4 to 5 mins waiting for someone to take my order. The gentleman standing in front of me was not doing anything but was pointedly ignoring me, this made me feel unwelcome.
I finally ordered a Kulcha nan and channa to check what the taste would be like. I have no desire to eat refrigerated kebabs or microwave heated currys.
My order took 25 mims to arrive and the taste was just ok, the Channa was clearly microwaved and the Nan was freshly made but it was a little chewy and tough. We were given only paper plates and the channa was given to us in a takeaway container even though we were eating in.
Overall I was not impressed with the service and the food is just ok. Hence I think this place will suit many people who are looking for this type of food and experience. I was looking for a nice breakfast/brunch experience with table service and this was not that.
Best snacks and food service for take away and eat in. Fresh vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, Try fresh chats and breakfast with parotha and egg.
Kulcha naan chany is absolutely amazing! I can't get enough of it!
I live in Epsom, but every single week I make it a point to go there just to indulge in their delectable breakfast. It brings me so much joy!
Recently, I had the pleasure of taking my family to breakfast at Khatta Meetha Desi Restaurant, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We placed an order for the halwa pori and naan channy as a group of ten people, and I must say, the naan was fantastic. It had a lot of sesame seeds on top, and the flavour was fantastic. Additionally, we were delighted to discover a free lassi with our halwa pori combo, which was excellent value for the money.
In comparison to other UK restaurants I've been to, Khatta Meetha Desi Restaurant has very affordable prices. We were so impressed, in fact, that we made the decision to come back later in the day for their renowned falooda. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try (without the rose syrup) because it absolutely lived up to its reputation.
The photos I took during our visit show that the restaurant offers a wide range of options in addition to wonderful meals. Overall, Khatta Meetha Desi Restaurant is a fantastic choice for a delightful and budget-friendly meal with loved ones.
I visited this place twice, and on both occasions, I experienced a sense of unwelcome atmosphere. The service lacks professionalism, with staff either ignoring customers or forgetting their orders. While the physical space, including the tables, is in good condition overall, it's not a place I would choose for a dining experience.
On a positive note, the food itself has a decent taste. I tried the chicken curry and lamb curry as takeaways, both coming from the fridge. They offer to warm it up for you or allow you to do it at home. The pricing is reasonable.
Despite the reasonable prices and the satisfactory taste of the food, the overall negative experience with the service and atmosphere makes me reluctant to visit this place again.
Delicious food. Look out for Halwa Puri on weekends and Aaloo k parathay on the weekdays. The falooda is not to be missed! 🇵🇰
The Pakistani snacks and paan is a great touch.
I m a taxi driver and I went to the airport to drop my coustmer and then my company gave me job to bring back a coustmer as well which I have more then 2 hours and I was starving because I didn't had breakfast so I went on google as usual …
